Flexible Seating Upgrade - Student Rolling Chairs with Mid-Back Support

My students need upgraded flexible seating options, and since they love to pretend to be adults at work, I want to bring child sized office chairs into our flexible seating room.

My Students

Every teacher likes to think they have a great group of students, and luckily for me, my school really is made up of the most wonderful, loving families. One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing the change that my students undergo over the course of the year.

I am fortunate enough to see kids develop ways to express kindness each and every day.

They use manners that weren't present in August. I have seen students who loathe reading, turn into book lovers. A great part is hearing students say that math is their favorite subject because that excites me. My classroom is full of faces and personalities that will impact our future world. As a teacher, I believe it is my job to do everything I can to make sure that impact will be a positive impact.

My Project

My class is in need of more flexible seating options! We just received some wobble stools (which they absolutely LOVE), but I am wanting to meet the needs of ALL of my students with a different variety of chairs to choose from.

From what I have seen in my own classroom: most of my students stay more focused when they are able to sit in a "different chair" other than the regular chairs most schools are provided with.

With that being stated, I want to help every single one of my students stay focused on their work to help accomplish their goals we have set in the classroom. The more goals the students accomplish, the more excited they are to come to class to learn.

I know that the students will love these child sized office chairs to use in the class due to the rewards they choose for certain things. One of the top rewards is to sit in the rolling teacher chair for the day, and boy, do they love to do that. Once we have more options, my students will be able to choose the seat they want to sit in every day when they walk into my classroom.
