Third graders always come to school eager to learn and please. Also, third graders are very unique since they are in the learning stage that allows them to become more independent as the school year progresses. They are truly like a flower. They come into the classroom as a flower ready to grow. Their stem isn't strong enough to hold them; however, the stem is growing each day. As the child begins to grow and develop, their petals begin to blossom. At this point, each child becomes unique in their own way and absolutely beautiful as they blossom entirely. It is amazing to see each child bloom and blossom in their own special way throughout the school year.
My classroom is made up of unique individuals who need more attention and help than most children.
With my special education background, I have a lot of different needs within my room. My students need a lot of sensory items and breaks to help them get through a long school day.
My Project
My students are sitting for approximately seven hours a day and sitting in hard chairs is not a good practice. In order for students to learn best, they need to be comfortable. The flexible seating will allow my students to sit comfortable and take their learning to the next level. Also, flexible seating allows students to share space and materials. Flexible seating allows students to find a comfortable position throughout the room. Comfortable students are calm, focused and productive within the classroom. As you can tell, flexible seating is extremely beneficial to all students and it impacts their learning tremendously.
