This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello! I am first grade teacher in Springfield, MA, and this school year I have been blessed with 29 amazing first graders. We are finally back to in-person learning, and my students are very eager to learn and love hands-on tools and manipulatives to support their learning!
Despite the pandemic, I want to ensure my students get the best experience in the classroom and make sure that they know that school is a safe place for them!
Please help my students grow this year by supporting our classroom.
My Project
The biggest thing I believe in the most when building my classroom community is building a safe learning environment for my students. In order to ensure my students feel safe, I build strong relationships with them and learn what helps them the most to achieve in the classroom. Recently I have incorporated a couple of wobble stools in my classroom and my students love them! This made me realize how beneficial it would be to add more flexible seating options into my classroom.
My biggest goal as an educator is for my students to grow as learners and as people.
I know with having more of these amazing flexible seating options in my classroom, my students would feel comfortable, safe, and eager to learn. Please help me achieve this project and provide more options and choices for my students to help build motivation while learning in the classroom.
