My students need flexible seating for when they are sitting at the teacher table with myself doing guided reading and whisper phones to read to themselves to help their reading fluency.

My Students

I work in a small, rural low-income school district. I teach first graders who come into my classroom anywhere from well below grade level to exceeding academic expectations in all subject areas. They are eager to learn and enjoy coming to our school which works hard to create a warm and welcoming environment. My goal as their teacher is to not only allow them to achieve academic success but also to make them feel safe and appreciated while at school.

My Project

The stools will help my students with movement when sitting at the teacher table with myself when I do some intervention assistance with them. The whisper phones will help my beginning readers with fluency and sounding out the words to themselves without distracting the other students around them. I can most definitely promise you that the materials and supplies I am requested for my students will go to great use!

By donating to this project, you will be assisting low income first graders to increase their academic achievement.

This will change my students' lives for the better because they will love school even more and feel success at an early age, while having fun learning!
