I teach students in grades K-5, in a public elementary school. I teach in a talent development program, and we focus on creativity, divergent thinking, and convergent thinking. We also learn and practice computer coding skills at their level. We say a pledge everyday together before class starts, that reminds them to have a growth mindset. It also reminds them that I believe in them, and that they are capable of doing great things! They are creative fun loving kids!
My Project
The items I am requesting will be used for flexible seating in my classroom. My kids have ENERGY and need to wiggle and move while they are learning. I will have 4 rectangular tables, and I will have a variety of seating options they can choose from, such as seat cushions, wobble chairs, and bouncy chairs.
In our classroom, we do a lot of hand-on activities, such as creating inventions!
It is important for kids to be comfortable, and to be able to move while learning. The flexible seating options will give kids more options for moving while they are focused on learning and creating.
