Flexible Seating to Enhance Learning!

My Students

The children in my Kindergarten class are enthusiastic and hard working learners! We attend a very small public school located in a small town in northwestern Minnesota. The children are curious, creative, and active in their education. They are also kind, caring, and respectful to all they encounter!

Kindergarten is such an amazing year!

This is a time when children increase their love of learning! They also learn how to positively interact with their peers! The children learn how to collaborate, work hard, build friendships, and show kindness!

My Project

As a Kindergarten teacher, I want to provide each child with the best possible learning experience! We would love to have flexible seating in our classroom to help create an environment that is welcoming to all students! I want the children to enjoy their learning environment and have the best opportunities available!

Our flexible seating project would allow the children to take ownership of their learning by choosing the seat they feel will help them learn best!

We would use the wobble chairs in place of our chairs. Benefits of the wobble chairs are as follows: increase in focus and on task behavior during the school day (these help to get rid of extra energy or wiggles that we often see in chairs), improved posture, improved core strength, and the children love sitting on a variety of seating options.

The comfy bean bag chairs and folding chairs would benefit the children by allowing them other seating opportunities during our independent reading time. The children love to get comfy and curl up with a good book!

By helping us out, you would make a huge difference in the life of a child! You will help them learn to love reading and become a lifetime learner!
