My Students
My students come to school each day energetic and eager to learn! I have a general education classroom setting with students who learn in a variety of different ways. I have noticed that they love hands-on activities and movement. Some of the students have a difficult time staying engaged while sitting in their hard and uncomfortable chair for long periods of time. They fidget, and become restless while working.Some students even find it difficult to see the smart-board from where they are seated. I would like to give them the opportunity to try flexible seating, and have them be more comfortable in their learning environment. I want nothing but the best for my students, and I feel a comfortable learning environment will help them achieve their goals and succeed this school year!
My Project
My students need more seating options that are comfortable and flexible for learning. All students learn differently, and no student is the same. Understanding the needs of your students helps them grow and learn in a safe and comfortable environment.
Sometimes kids have a hard time sitting still for an extended period of time.
With flexible seating, students can be more comfortable and work to the best of their ability. Having flexible seating in the class, can not only foster learning, but allow the students to be more comfortable while working in the classroom.
I feel that having flexible seating will give my students the ability to stop fidgeting, or moving around while working, and will allow them to complete their work easier and focus in the classroom.
