it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a joyful group of six-year-old first graders who are eager to make full use of their classroom space. There is whole group time during instruction, and there is also time for them to explore learning on their own through the use of school district platforms and applications. One of my goals with this lap desk project is to provide a functional and aesthetically pleasing classroom environment in which all my students can enjoy spending flexible seating carpet time with friends or alone.
The flexible lap desks I am hoping to purchase with this project will provide my students with the flexibility of sitting at a floor desk, yet comfortable to be at a lap desk that they'll forget they're on the carpet.
I see the joy in my students' faces when they get to spend flexible seating time on the carpet with friends. They appear to be productive as they navigate their learning apps while holding their iPad devices on their laps. Your generous donations will help my students enjoy the flexible seating time on the carpet with the added comfort of having lap desks to set their devices on comfortably. Flexible seating time will be a game changer with lap desks for my students to truly enjoy their carpet time.
