Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I want my students to be able to choose the way they want to sit while learning. It doesn’t matter to me as long as they are learning the material. Students who are given a choice will do better in my opinion.

In my teaching career, I have found out that students learn better if their given choices.

It took me a long time to realize that. So, the floor cushions would be a great incentive for my students who are showing good behavior and citizenship in the class and the school.

My students are very intelligent and would love various choices for seating around the classroom. They would be very excited and appreciative.

I believe that my students will greatly benefit from the flexibility of seating. It will allow them to complete tasks or assignments in an unconventional seating arrangement. Also the headphones will aid them when they are in trying to concentrate and complete simple tasks for me. The headphones will give them a sense of independence.
