This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in an I.C.T. classroom in the Bronx. In this classroom setting, both general education students and special education students learn together and from each other. Many of my students have learning disabilities, autism or speech and language impairments.
My students are faced with hardships everyday; yet, they come to school eager to learn.
Despite obstacles put in their way, my students strive to reach their potential. School is their safe haven where I strive to provide them with all the knowledge I can, with the resources that are available to me.
My Project
The wobble stools will help my students to wobble while they work. Sitting still in a regular chair all day, is hard to do! These stools will give my special needs children the outlet they need to move while they are working.
Basic supplies are essential to keep a classroom running.
My students need printer ink so that I can continue to print out differentiated materials in order to meet my students' needs. Boxes, bins, and pocket charts are needed to help organize all of their supplies so that they can easily access them. Chart paper, sentence strips, and tape are basic supplies they are used everyday and run out quickly. Having these supplies will help my students to have essential classroom supplies that every child deserves.
