Help me give my students the ability to have Balance ball seats within our classroom. Something as simple as the type of seat can make all the difference for a child.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am anticipating a group of 20 inquisitive 3rd graders from culturally diverse backgrounds. Many were born in other countries and are acquiring English as a second language. As a teacher on a Title I school, I want to make sure that my students have access to the best education possible, and are never limited due to lack of supplies. I want to make sure that they have all the supplies that they need, no matter what the financial struggles that their families might be facing.
My Project
After teaching for several years, I realized that it’s the little things that can make a world of difference for my students. For many students, the ability to sit on something that isn’t a traditional chair can help them focus.
I am hoping to be able to provide my students with many different seating options to utilize.
My classroom has several options, but lacks an option that allows my students to be sitting while they are able to move around. Last year I witnessed how much this type of seating option could help a student who had difficulty sitting still during lessons. I am hoping to provide that on a greater scope for my class this year, whether or not it’s specified in an IEP of 504 plan.
