My Project

I love flexible seating! It has made a world of difference in my classroom. As a third grade teacher, I try to encourage children to use different strategies and figure out what it is that allows each of them individually to do their best work.

Each year, I try to add to our current flexible seating with some new options for kids.

Some children learn best while working on the floor, some need to wiggle around on a wobble stool, and some need a "cool down" space with a comfy bean bag. I want my classroom to be a welcoming, nurturing place for all kinds of learners and allow them to do their best in whatever stance works for them. With this project, I am looking to replace broken wobble stools currently in our classroom and add the 4 floor chairs as something new.
