Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a wonderful group of 2nd grade students in a Title I public school. My classroom is filled with eager learners who thrive in a warm, welcoming, and flexible learning environment.
Right now, we’re working hard every day—but we’re missing a few essentials that would make a big difference in our classroom experience: A classroom rug, flexible seating, and lap desks.
I’m asking for your support to help us create a more comfortable and engaging space by providing:
A classroom rug to build community during group lessons and read-alouds.
Lap desks so students can work comfortably in different areas of the classroom.
Flexible seating pillows to support movement and focus, especially for students who benefit from a variety of learning positions.
