Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
You can imagine the wondrous surprise on the faces of my students when we were told that you so generously gave us these very needed materials/chairs. Hello, fabulous donors who have helped to transform our classroom! I want to start by saying thank you so incredibly much for your generous donation. Students are enjoying our new flexible seating tremendously. They are asking to sit on these wiggle stools throughout the day. Why are they so awesome? Because they sway to and fro, they help the kids engage their core and focus. Students can also easily maneuver these great stools throughout the room to form collaborative groupings. We are just thrilled with this awesome new addition.
I want you to know how thrilled the students were when they first saw the boxes of these stools being delivered.
"What is that?" and "What are these?" were the questions they were shouting. I told them to open them and see, and that is exactly what they did. They unwrapped them quickly and began setting them up at our community tables. They immediately started sitting on them.
