My students need more flexible seating options in the classroom. The stability balls will allow the students to wiggle while they work and allow choice for students to become more independent.
I have 20 second grade students in my class. They come to school every day with a smile on their faces. My students are a fun, energetic, and inquisitive group! They love to experience hands on activities that allow them to be challenged.
We incorporate collaborative learning, flexible seating and various learning strategies to ensure the students needs are met to enhance their learning.
I want my classroom to be a safe, fun, and desirable place for them to come.
My Project
At seven years old it is still difficult to focus on what is being taught because it is hard to sit still. Flexible seating will help with this by giving students choice and seating options to get their wiggles out. This gives students more ownership in the classroom which results in more effort and academic progress. Students are automatically engaged when they are presented with flexible seating.
Flexible seating allows students to move around the classroom to find a quiet space, make better choices, and get some of their energy out.
These items will allow the students to feel comfortable, make choices, and most importantly collaborate which gets them ready for the real world.
