My Students

I have a classroom of 20 energetic and enthusiastic learners. They enjoy reading, math, science, and STEM lessons. Our school is a high performing elementary school where students thrive with enrichment opportunities.

My students love hands-on lessons where they are able to work together and explore.

I strive to provide my students with hands-on and interactive activities. Our classroom community and collaborative atmosphere enable the students to go deeper with their knowledge while learning to listen to the opinions of those around them.

My Project

My classroom is transitioning to becoming a flexible seating classroom. Research shows that this helps provide the most successful environment for kids.

Active 7 and 8- year- olds need time for movement throughout the day, and this seating will allow for that to occur.

We already have a standing table, lowered table, yoga balls, lap desks, and clipboards in our classroom. Four of the sit spots will be placed at our lowed table and the other two will be for students to find a good spot in the room. The yoga mats will provide an alternative seating option for students.
