I teach special education to students in grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade in a Title 1 school. I love my students and all of the great success they have in my room. Every day they love to learn new ideas and be creative. My students come to me with a wide range of abilities in the areas of reading, math, writing, and social/ emotions.
Every student needs to have an environment where they can learn and be successful.
It is my teaching belief that if a student feels comfortable in the room and with others they will start to believe in themselves and achieve everything they want to.
My Project
Flexible seating is a great way to help all student learn. Flexible seating gives them the option to pick how they can sit in my classroom and learn. It gives them the outlet to move around and still learn at the same time. Flexible seating can help my student have ownership of their learning and responsibilities in the classroom. Having flexible seating my classroom will increase student work completion because they can finish thier work in a way that feels comfortable to them. When students feel comfortable to finish thier work they are most likely to do the work.
Flexible seating encourages students to find thier best spot to stay calm, focused and productive.
Flexible seating also helps me create a student-centered classroom which is very important for my students.
