My Students

I have 19 energetic and loving Kindergartens. They enjoy being busy and working with their peers on art projects, reading centers, and math investigations. Each day the students are eager to begin with a smile and ready to learn new skills.

At our school we take pride on promoting academic excellence and helping students prepare to be future leaders.

Throughout the year the students will have experiences with real-life animals that have local connections. In the Fall, they observe the life cycle of the butterfly and then release them back into nature. During the entire school year, the students watch several terrapin turtles grow and release them at a local beach. In the Spring, the Kindergartners watch chicks hatch from eggs and then are brought to a local farm! I can't wait to share these experiences with my enthusiastic students.

My Project

These flexible seating stools will allow students to continue to work and move at the same time. The stools will be available as an option for students to choose when working on certain tasks. We all learn in different ways and this supports a way to differentiate that.

I want my classroom to meet the needs of all learners.

Flexible seating has been shown to assist students in their learning development and stamina as well as in developing skills in emotional self regulation in the classroom. This will benefit most students in my class. Some students just need to move while learning.
