I teach Kindergarten students so as you would expect they are full of energy! Each child comes from a different home life that we overcome together each day. They love coming to school and can’t wait to see what they have in store for them when they walk in to the room! I teach at a Title 1 school with free breakfast and lunch. My students are very talented and eager to learn every chance they get. They are very loving and always let you know how much you mean to them.
Each of the seating options that I chose for this project will give students the chance to experience a new style for their learning. I chose options that will allow them to sit on stools and yoga balls using a regular desk. Also, I chose soft cushions, and floor pillows so students can work at lowered tables while sitting on the floor. The bean bag chairs, and lap desks will allow students to sit freely around the room without a table.
Giving students a choice of multiple different options of seating in a classroom allows them to work the way they learn the best.
All of the seating arrangements allow students to get their energy out while they are working instead of having to sit still in a desk.
I really think this will benefit my students and I hope you consider donating to our project!
