Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students are eager to be 21st century students learning with a curriculum that promotes and supports science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. My favorite quote is a Chinese proverb: "Do not confine our children to your own learning, for they were born in another time."
The students in my kindergarten classroom are mostly low income, English language learners, and some are children of military families.
They are curious about everything around them. But many of them lack educational support away from the classroom. Our school is located in a rural community in southwestern Arizona.
My Project
Kindergarten students are excited to come to school everyday! They love the way their classroom looks, feels, and smells. They want to be there and they want to learn. My students need comfortable seating areas to read books, work on their ipads, and collaborate.
Flexible seating has made my kindergarten classroom a super fun place to be!
My students get excited when they come to school to learn daily. They are surrounded with polka dots, bumble bee decorations, and seating choices. Having a flexible fun room where they can learn is making a difference in their lives. Bean bags and a cozy carpet will be a great addition to our classroom.
