Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

80% of our students are FARM students. Many of them live in poverty and have experienced some sort of trauma in their lives. Despite all of this they come to school everyday with a smile on their face and ready to learn. They really are special kids. For many of our students English is a second language and they only speak English while at school. The county curriculum is very rigorous and this creates challenges for many of our second language students.

My Project

Flexible seating gives students a choice in how they want to learn. Many kids learn best when moving around while others like to sit still. I like my kids to discover how they learn best and give them a choice in how they want to learn. Having flexible seating choices would benefit ALL of my students.

Wobble stools and wobble cushions would give my students a choice in how they want to learn and help them discover how they learn best.

I will let students select the seating that they feel would best benefit them and help them learn in the best possible way!
