Help me give my students flexible seating. All the items I am requesting will be used to give my wiggly kindergarteners an alternate place to sit and work in peace.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students and their drive to learn more and more! I am so impressed with the progress these kiddos make in such a short time together in kindergarten. These kiddos are new to school and are very full of energy.
Kindergarten is the year for exploration and learning!
These kiddos are just learning how to cut, write, make art, and so much more. They spend hours at their tables practicing and getting smarter. This is why I want them to have their own, comfortable space to work in. I have notice, this year and in years past, that my students love to stand when they are working at their tables, or they love to lay on their bellies in a spot of the room more secluded or quiet. I have never tried flexible seating before but know how beneficial it can be. With these carpet spots, stools, and chairs, the students will be able to leave their chair at their desk and find an alternative place to sit and focus and be comfortable while they work and grow their minds. I would absolute love to be able to provide this type of work environment for my kiddos!
