My Students

Second graders love to learn, and I am excited to get to start with a new batch of kiddos in just a few weeks! The beginning of the year is such a wondrous time. I love meeting all my new students and working to develop a positive classroom community.

This year, we will be focusing on pride.

This means taking pride in our work and giving everything we do our best effort. It means taking pride in ourselves and in our teammates, by recognizing individual strengths, and supporting one another. We will be proud members of our school community as we lead by example. It also means taking pride in our space by keeping our classroom and building in top shape.

While teaching can be a challenging profession, I am PROUD of the work I do and look forward to an amazing new school year with my new class!

My Project

A Comfy Corner Listening Center will provide students with an organized place to listen to books, practice reading fluency, and improve their vocabulary through different listening activities. Flex-Space chairs will help for students to have a comfortable place to sit around the room for times when they need quiet or want to collaborate with a teammate. Having flexible seating options will help especially help students who get distracted easily and need to find a place to do work they are proud of. Flexible seating options will also help us take pride in our space as we create a warm, welcoming classroom!
