My Students

I have 22 wonderful third graders in my class. They are problem-solvers, dreamers, bucket-fillers, and learners.

Every single day, I am blown away with their compassion for others and their eagerness to learn.

We have a strong classroom community that they are invested in. Every single morning, we hold a Morning Meeting where we discuss the events for the day, as well as any problems they need to discuss. As a community, we build each other up and solve problems as a team.

These children are some of the most passionate learners I have ever known. They are always ready to take on new and exciting challenges, and I am thrilled to learn alongside them.

My Project

I am a brand new teacher in Arizona who has a class of 22 wonderful students. I am a huge fan of flexible seating and would love to give my students more choices in where they complete their work.

I have seen the benefits of flexible seating firsthand in my student teaching practicum. Giving young learners seating choices like wobble cushions and yoga balls will not only assist those who need to move around a little to stay engaged, but it will also give them responsibility and require them to monitor themselves and their use of the flexible seating materials.
