My Students

My third grade students are incredibly sweet individuals, who are all truly motivated to learn and explore the world around them. I currently have 24 students, and the majority of these children are emergent bilinguals developing English as a second language.

I want to provide them with the best classroom resources available.

They work so hard every single day, and a comfortable environment is critical for learning. With a brand new "modernized" classroom next year, there are some resources we desperately need to update our room!

My Project

Our third grade "banana slugs" need some flexible seating in their classroom! The students have requested a standing desk, lap desks, and wobble cushions for them to use throughout the day. As I increase my student interactions during the day, I know the third graders would love to use cushions and lap desks to work in partner pairs during math and ELA.

Comfort is absolutely critical in the classroom, and flexible seating provides this sense of ease.

Students deserve to excel in their academics and social-emotional skills, and I believe flexible seating will provide this. These resources will deeply benefit my students this year and for years to come.
