This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of hardworking individuals who strive to achieve. They come to school knowing it will be a place to enrich their minds and their bodies. In school, they strive for knowledge and a love of literature, mathematics, science, engineering, technology, and the arts.
My students are hopeful and spirited towards learning.
They desire to learn and come to school for fun and enriched lessons. They love literature, enjoy reading, and they love science and the arts. They are creative and full of ideas to spark the curriculum. My students are in a STEM Magnet program that unfortunately lacks the technology to meet the demands of the high quality lessons created.
My Project
The students of today are different in their learning styles in comparison to the students of the past. Students want engage in conversations and work in groups collaboratively. Students enjoy working in areas where they can share ideas and learn together. These tables are perfect for small group instruction because they allow students to have an area where it's their space. We do a lot of math in groups of two or more. These area would allow for students to work on problem solving tasks that offer opportunities for deep mathematical real world problem solving.
