My Students

Middle School...there is something about those words that make you walk a little taller, hold your head a little higher and work a little harder! My students are entering their first year into the middle school world. They are spunky, energetic and excited to learn! They can't wait to get their hands dirty in my science class. They are ready for out of the box activities and projects, I am hoping it will happen on a regular basis in my science room!

My Project

I have spent 4 months with my new 6th graders and I can already tell they have a need for flexible seating. My classroom is in need of a major seating and tables overhaul. I would like to gradually add different styles of seating to my room, starting with wiggle stools, and then move into flexible table areas.

All students enjoy a classroom that is comfortable to them.

Many students need the movement to help them focus. I have some students who like to stand, some who like to sit on their knees, and some that rock their chairs all around. These students would benefit from the Hokki stools.
