Flexible Seating for the Library!

Help me give my students bean bag chairs and other flexible seating to sit and read quietly on after they check their books out!

My Students

I am the media specialist for my school and I teach kindergarten, first and second grade. I teach 450 students each week. This is my second year teaching in this position and I am very happy I made the change!

My students love to come and listen to books each week and their favorite part is being able to check out a book of their choice each week.

They enjoy reading their books quietly in my "comfy area" that I am looking to expand. Checking out and returning books teaches them responsibility and when they can show that they get to take two books!

My Project

Right now I have seven bean bags and a few stools for the students but I teach about 20 students at a time so we have a system where they have to take turns.

If I could make it where each student had something comfortable to sit on while they read their book, we would be extremely grateful!

The bean bag chairs with backs will be wonderful to sit in and read and the flexible stools will be great to read alone or create a group area to read together. They will enjoy anything different than a wooden chair to read in!
