This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in an underprivileged district in NYC. My classroom is built up of a diverse community of children. These children have amazing abilities, but just don’t have the money for their parents to be able to supply the basic needs for day-to-day learning. These students will be given the opportunity to shine and succeed in the upcoming school year.
My Project
This project features flexible seating options in calm, cooling colors that reflect the overall aesthetic of my classroom. My students need to have options besides a hard chair all day long.
Your donation would help fund a bunch of wobble seats and ball chairs for the kiddos that need to get some wiggles out while working.
These seats make that a possibility without having to constantly ask students to sit still.
Having a seat that can move around with their bodies while not distracting themselves or anyone around them will help get work done!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
