This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a high poverty, Title I school in Arizona. More than half of the families of my students do not have enough money to buy art supplies for school and are considered low-income households. Also, Title I schools have a high percentage of students who receive free and reduced-price breakfast/lunch.

My students not only come from low income, high-poverty homes but struggle with school in other areas (math, reading, and science).

I would like to create a flexible seating project to help social distance and posture in the classroom. Thank you for your help!

My Project

As a visual arts teacher, it is my job to inspire the love of art and creativity to the leaders of tomorrow, as well as instill the passion for arts in all I teach. Among my 600+ students then the pandemic hit and changed everything. Most of my students have been learning online need flexibility in their seating! I know how difficult it is to sit down all day and learn!

I am asking for help to get some flexible seating chairs for the art room.

What better than during a pandemic for an elementary grade child to be able to have access and practice their art and be able to move around if needed! Thanks so much for your help!
