My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Seventy-five percent of my students are on free or reduced price lunch. My school is a Title I school. This means we rely on donations and money from the government. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with many creative and meaningful learning experiences that they can use in and out of the classroom.

My Project

My students come to school full of life and ready to learn. We are a 1:1 classroom and I'm looking at getting flexible seating to make each student comfortable and ready to work. Some students like to stand, some like to bounce, and some like to move. Having flexible seating will allow me to make sure that my students will be able to do these things without a problem and being distracting to others that don't need/want these things. I have chosen a number of items that will help all my students use their Chromebooks in a more comfortable setting.
