Every day, my students face incredible challenges as they strive to be the best student while navigating through the struggles of having an often-misunderstood learning disability--dyslexia. As a Title I school, many of the students are economically disadvantaged. Special needs students need to have hands-on activities to help them learn in a multi-sensory type of classroom. Kinesthetic learners need to move around and experience a hands-on classroom in the school. Allowing my students to have new flexible seating options and clipboards will help them become more focused around the classroom. My students are eager to come to school to have a safe and loving place for them to go.
My students are all eager to learn and have a thirst for knowledge.
Each one of my students is special in their own way and I want to reach all of my students. Whether my students have ADHD, autism, or any other special needs, I want to make sure that all of my students have the outlets that they need. I want to find new and unique ways to ensure they are learning to their best ability by fostering a loving, encouraging classroom environment.
My Project
Flexible seating is a new trend and hype in education. I am trying to add more flexible seating in my classroom. My students would benefit from different forms of seating and adding the clipboards would allow them to find a quiet spot for them to work around the room. Flexible seating will allow my students to become more engaged in their learning and to keep their attention and focus on their work. The Flex-Space Comfy Floor seats would definitely put smiles on my students' faces when they see the different seating options. I have personally seen the difference that flexible seating can make for all students. Thank you for helping me provide this opportunity for my own students!
