My first grade classroom is filled with energetic and eager to learn 6/7 year olds! They come to school each day excited to see what the new school day will bring.
My students love hands-on activities and movement the most.
It can be challenging to stay engaged while sitting in a hard and uncomfortable chair all day. I would like the opportunity to provide my students with flexible seating options that allow them to move and wiggle around while being comfortable. Comfortable environments lead to more student engagement and more success!
My Project
By having alternative and flexible seating, my students will be able to make the choice of which seating option is best for their own learning. No one like to sit in a chair all day long, not even adults. This new seating will help my students focus better throughout the long school day.
