My Students
My students are very special because they have very different backgrounds. They bring many different views since there home life is very different from each other.
They enjoy coming to school each day and are ready to learn even when dealing with obstacles at home.
They are very energetic and caring. There are many role models in the class. They are hardworking and want to learn. All of them participate in different activities and enjoy trying something new. They also like to be active and work hard.
My Project
I want to get more options for flexible seating in the classroom. Flexible seating allows each student the opportunity to be in control of their learning and body and make a choice that works for them. While students are working around the classroom they will get to choose a seat that works best for them.
Students like to move around the room and sit at the carpet, on the floor using whiteboards, on stools, or under desks.
I want these seats to make students comfortable where they are at and not have to sit on only hard chairs all day. Students also take more responsibility for their learning when they get to choose where they sit.
The products that I have picked will help my students by giving them different seating options. The wobble cushions will help students sit more comfortably on the hard chairs and also get the wobbles out. They can also use the wobble cushions on the carpet. The comfy seats will allow students to sit on the floor more comfortably and have back support. The wobble stools will allow students to move in there seats without disrupting other students. These different seating options will be a great resource for students while they are reading to themselves and working independently around the classroom.
