My Students

I currently teach at a Title 1 school in Florida. In our classroom, you will find students with many different backgrounds and learning styles. Even though they may differ greatly, the one thing they share is their eagerness to learn.

This year, I have a class that would greatly benefit from being given the opportunity to "get their wiggles out"!

Even though is it only a few weeks into the school year, I can already tell my sweet group of students learn best by doing anything BUT sitting still. At the young ages of 8 and 9, they have so much energy waiting to be released! These wobble stools will not only help them release that energy, but will also improve posture, resulting in better focus all around.

My Project

Every student in my class learns differently. With these additional flexible seating options, my students will have a choice in how they learn.

Flexible seating options allow students to remain engaged and focused based on their individual needs.

Students of this age appreciate being given a choice. This choice is one that will not only improve focus, but also effort and engagement. Some students have a difficult time staying seated in the uncomfortable plastic chairs provided, and I can't say I blame them! I want my students to be as comfortable and focused as possible when learning the rigorous material they will encounter in 3rd grade.
