My Students
My students are 5th graders that attend a K-6th school in Anaheim, California. They love to learn, are kind to others, and eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. They love hands-on, active, and engaging projects that allow them to think outside the box. My 5th graders are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools. They have been learning how to apply mathematical practices to be successful coders over the past year. I am lucky to work with such a great group of students.
My Project
Flexiable seating encourages students to stay calm, focused, and productive in all subject areas. My goal is to make my classroom environment comfotable and safe so my students to learn. Flexiable seating will also give my students the gift of moving during their instuctional day.
The wobble chairs will make a difference in my classroom because it will allow my students to move and choose what they sit on.
Flexible seating makes learning fun and allows students to get their wiggles out so they can focus more when they are learning.
I have seen students more engaged and enthusiastic about learning when they are given the choice of where they can sit. Through flexible seating, my goal is to increase student engagement and have my students reach success in all academic areas.
