My Project
As students come into 2nd grade, they are learning to understand what their bodies need to successfully learn. For some students this is a regular chair, but for others they may benefit from movement or comfort. My goal is to ensure that every student has a seating choice that makes them feel comfortable, and supports their focus.
I dream of giving the flexible seating choices to support their learning needs and give them agency to decide what seats are most helpful for their learning.
With scoop chairs, students are able to move on the rug during learning time without distracting themselves or others. I would love to give each student the choice to use these chairs when they feel their body needs it! These seats are supportive for students with diverse abilities so that everyone can be included and supported in our classroom learning. The bean bag is a great way for students to be comfortable while still sitting up to focus and learn. Both of these seating choices would be wonderful additions to the classroom, and I am so grateful to your support!
