This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of amazing 3rd graders in a public NYC school. They are part of a great program called the ASD Nest program. This inclusive program integrates students with autism into a general education classroom. My students have a range of ablilities which makes me want to create a perfect classroom for them! They benefit from individualized instruction and a flexible classroom environment that supports their success. My students are fun, caring and curious kids who love to learn.
My Project
I would love to create a classroom environment for my students where they can be in control of their learning. My students would benefit from these lap desks because they would make learning and work happen anywhere in the classroom. Many of my students have special sensory needs and flexible seating can be the answer for their success.
I want my students to be in control of their own learning and find a place to work where they feel comfortable.
Being able to use these lap desks on the rug or chairs will create a work environment for student choice and achievement.
