My Project
Help us improve social-emotional learning and trauma-informed approaches by providing flexible sensory seating for students. Flexible seating will enhance our learning environment by giving students more flexible spaces to learn within the classroom setting. It will also provide a safe space for students who need a calming space to focus.
The goal of this project is to improve academic achievement by providing a more supportive and flexible learning environment for students with different learning styles and specific learning support needs.
The mission of our High School is to provide ALL students with the skills, confidence, and experiences necessary to succeed in the education and career paths of their choice. Our program is built on the belief that alternative schools should not punish or "fix" young people; they should be vibrant, flexible, and restorative environments that support students in being their best selves.
We serve students age 14 – 21 through a year-round curriculum. Our programs are designed to meet students where they are, provide them with academic, career, and life training, and raise their own, their families’, and society’s expectations of their abilities and their future prospects.
