it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading is foundational to all learning. My students are continuing to develop their reading skills through independent reading. Since Covid, reading scores have dropped, so incorporating independent reading time in class helps develop reading skills and scores. Flexible seating will allow students to be comfortable when reading and working independently. These items will help foster a stronger classroom community. I love watching my students get excited about books and learning, and watching them share their love of books with each other shows their growth. It can be difficult to focus on a book when you are not physically comfortable.
