This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each year, I get students who come from many diverse cultural backgrounds, but a common thread is that the majority come from a very low socioeconomic background.

Despite these challenges, each child comes to school excited to learn and explore new things.

Whether we are learning how to read, write, or problem solve my students are always smiling and always ready for more... even if there aren't always enough resources or supplies. Regardless, we push on with our "College Bound Attitudes!"

My Project

I have requested 2 Wooden Lap Desks for the carpet area of my classroom. Over the past few years, I have been building upon the resources in my room to create a learning environment that is optimal for all types of learners.

These wooden lap desks would be a great addition to our classroom because it will allow students to sit comfortably on the carpet with their books & and have the same convenience and accessibility as sitting at a desk.

With these wooden lap desks students can be in closer proximity to the projection screen & white boards, as well as the teacher while lessons are being delivered.
