Mrs. Akamnonu from Dallas TX is requesting flexible seating through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students flexible seating for when we return back into the classroom. My students will love the beanbag seat, comfy floor seats, and balance ball seats.

I teach at a Title I campus where 90% of the families are economically disadvantaged. In my class, my students will be reading on different levels. I will still have some students who are struggling as they still read below grade level.
I know that my 5th-grade students are enthusiastic about being back in school after being out for at least 6 months.
Creative, and extremely curious, they will come to school every day eager to learn and have a willingness to immerse themselves in all kinds of reading and writing challenges. On our campus, we are nurturing our students to become lifelong learners through literacy, writing, and real-world applications!
This school year, we will be learning virtually and I’m still trying to keep my students engaged.
I want them to feel comfortable as they are moving around in the classroom. As we are transition from our morning work, to our group work through our rotations and small group instructions, I want the students to be comfortable. I want the students to be able to have a variety of seating options while they are working daily.
My students are very special to me. As we are returning back into the classroom this fall, I want to make sure that they will have comfortable seating to choose from as we are reading independently, participating in guiding reading, and working independently.
No one knows how this school year will end, but I want to make sure that as we are preparing to re-enter into the classroom and once we can begin group work that they have comfortable seating options in which to choose.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my project and I know that my students would greatly appreciate receiving these comfortable seating options in our classroom.
