Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This summer, I had the opportunity to visit several classrooms and observed many teachers successfully implementing flexible seating options. These environments inspired me, especially as I prepare to support a diverse group of students with varying learning needs in my own classroom.
This year, I plan to incorporate a variety of seating choices that promote comfort and movement, which are essential for engagement and focus—particularly during large group and small group instruction.
These seating options will be available for students to use throughout the day and will support our young learners in improving their attention spans, staying engaged, and taking greater ownership of their learning.
