Help me give my students materials to physically connect to the classroom. My students need flexible seating to help them focus on instruction. My students come from many struggling environments and struggle to stay on task.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are bright, energetic, loving kiddos that need a positive learning environment to jump start their love for schools. The students that attend our school come from poverty-stricken areas that are often neglected in the betterment of a great education. My students are diverse in many ways and benefit from options in learning as well as flexibility. As 5 and 6 year olds, they are excited about learning and want to dive into a world that they have never known. Many of these students have never held a book in their hands, or been introduced to educational opportunities, so this time in their educational experience is vital.
Not only are my students starting their educational journey in my classroom, they are starting a life long journey of learning and living!
My Project
These materials will help my students be more successful in the classroom. The stools will allow my students to move or be more attentive by having different seating options.
By providing new read aloud books and play doh, the students will be able to explore new manipulatives and themes.
These items are things that some of my students may never experience otherwise. Using these items, the students can see learning come to life as well as reading become a fun and exciting activity. I am excited to share these amazing items with my students in order to encourage successful learning.
