This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At LA, we serve students from Kindergarten to 6th Grade. Our music classroom is an open space where students can walk around, explore their musical identities, and do various movement activities. Because of this, we do not have tables or chairs in the music room. The benefit to this is more access to movement, but when the 5th and 6th grade students are in a lesson on the floor, it can get uncomfortable to sit. These seat cushions would be a chance for students to have flexible, comfortable floor seating without filling the classroom up with chairs. Please consider helping out our musicians and keeping them comfortable in their learning!
