My Students

My students are an energetic, enthusiastic group of diverse learners. My class is a heterogeneous group of 19 students with a large range of abilities, as well as needs. They are always moving around the room, interacting with one another, and they love working together in cooperative groups. With our new reading series, our writers and readers workshops are in full swing...and we are always looking for new and exciting ways to keep ourselves motivated and engaged in classroom learning!

My Project

My students are always moving around the room and working cooperatively with each other. They are encouraged to sit anywhere in the room where they feel comfortable, in any way that works for them. Some of my students sit on their knees, some like to stand, some lay on their bellies on the reading corner rug. This flexible seating is open to them at any time, regardless of the activity or lesson being taught. These chairs, Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats, will be an awesome addition to our flexible seating model, giving them yet another option for seating in our classroom. We are so excited!
