This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my second full year as a seventh grade math teacher. Prior to teaching math, I was a special education teacher. I had much smaller groups when teaching and was able to provide flexible seating options for those eight to twelve students. Now that I have over one hnundred students, I would love to provide some flexible seating options for them.

Math is an important subject and so many students struggle or shut down when they walk in my classroom.

I want to help them feel comfortable and confident in math! I think the first step is having a welcoming, comfortable learning environment when they walk in.

I greatly appreciate your support and I know my students will too!
