My Project
I am continually impressed by the energy and creativity that my students bring to the classroom. They are asking deep-diving questions, striving to build understanding, and puzzling through mathematical challenges. All of the learners in my room are specifically placed there for targeted math intervention.
Often, a student's need to wiggle can interfere with their ability to sit still long enough to engage with a mentally challenging task.
Additionally, their coping behavior like tapping, walking around the room, and throwing materials makes it more difficult for other students to focus.
These wobble chairs give students agency to choose a seating option that will help them be more productive, focused learners. They can channel their frustration into rocking without making any noise or disrupting anyone else in the room. That way, everyone learns more math!
