Flexible Seating for Lower Elementary Students in the Music Classroom
Help me give my students flexible seating arrangements for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders in the general music classroom.

My Project
As a first year teacher, There are a lot of things I am learning about, especially as it relates to how students learn best. I have noticed that the traditional model of sitting at chairs and looking at the board does not suit every students learning style. In fact, I have noticed that this traditional teaching model is now outdated and does not suit the needs of the next generation on students. Therefore, my project involves having flexible seating arrangements so that students can learn through responsive teaching practices. I am requesting Flex-Space Washable Comfy Floor Seats, Flexible Seating Floor Cushions, Flower Plush Throw Pillows and more.
This project mostly benefits the students who are in lower elementary students in the general music classroom, as this will allow them to have flexible seating and allow for them to engage more/different activities and lessons.
I have noticed that traditional chairs are not only not suitable for younger children, but can be unsafe and can cause for students to fall or get hurt in the classroom. My project proposal involves getting movable seating dots and chairs so that students can in different ways around the room. The dots would be moveable so that they don't have to sit on the floor. The can be re arranged so students can move and engage in different Kodaly lesson activities. The dots are a better option than a rug because of sanitation and because they can be moved. The chairs may be used for a calming corner or for students or for students who may need different seating needs based on services needed for specific students in the music classroom.
Overall, these materials can be used for many years to come and with benefit the students so they are more engaged and feel comfortable in the music classroom.
