My students are eager to learn all about Computer Science. This is the first year that the course is being offered and there is so much interest being generated.
Most of the students come from a background where opportunity is not knocking on their door, but these students are creating their own opportunities.
With a background in Computer Science, these students will have skills and tools that other students may not have when pursuing a career. Computer Science careers are in high demand and these students have committed to working hard in order to succeed in the future.
My Project
My students will be learning Computer Science at an accelerated pace in a block schedule setting. At times, their brains are going to get exhausted from looking at a screen for most of their 85 minute class time. With flexible seating, students will have a choice on where and how to learn.
These materials will help me build a comfortable corner where students can relax a little bit while working on their Computer Science curriculum.
It is my hope that my students will continue to love Computer Science, despite the demanding pace and hard work that is required and that they will be excited to come to an environment that is warm and welcoming.
